The chiqui chiqui round woven placemats come in two stunning combinations : black or brown chiqui chiqui with a detail edge in cumare fiber. They are distinctive of the craftsmanship of the Zarycanha weavers. We love that they match beautifully with a contemporary or rustic country feel or the finest of Limoges chinaware.

Ana Gladys Aponte leads Zarycanha, a group of 15-women weavers who have learned the art of basket weaving from their mothers and are committed to passing their skills down to their own children and future generations. Zarycanha is the name given to the commercial organization they have created in order to keep this cultural expression alive.
