They are absolutely perfect for everything and with their timeless beauty and subtle rusticity, they compliment any home. Use them for your throws next to your bed or sofa; to keep a stack of books; for towels in the bathroom, or to store your socks or scarves ... or to simply decorate a corner on a shelf. Each one is is uniquely hand crafted - woven meticulously by hand using natural dyes. Oh so special !

The Nukak Makú are known to be the last nomadic indigenous community to remain in Colombia. They live in a region located between the Guaviare and Inírida rivers in the Amazonian basin. Basketry weaving is exclusive to women and it is a form of language used to communicate with mother nature. The Nukak Makú drop-off baskets at a local community center called 'El Fondo Mixto', an NGO that promotes and commercializes their work. And thanks to our collaboration with them we are able to support this cultural legacy and share these special pieces for future generations.
